Replace person in video with photo
Replace Person in Video with a Photo
Upload your own video or pick a built-in clip (Hotel Lobby, Raindance, APT., Bulin 47 and more), then add a photo of each person you want in it. The AI rebuilds the whole person from your photo (face, hair, clothes and build) while the clip keeps its moves, camera and original sound. That makes it full-person replacement, not a face swap, and it runs in a phone browser with no app.
Pick a clip- Up to 9 photos, one per person
- Your video or 32 built-in clips
- Original sound laid back on
- Phone browser, no app

These clips come from other tools' demo pages and are credited below each one. They show the same idea this page uses: a photo goes in, the whole person in the shot changes, and the room, camera and motion stay put.

Face Swap vs Character Swap vs Full-Person Replacement
"Replace person in video" can mean three different jobs. Knowing which one you want saves credits and avoids picking the wrong tool.
| Type | What changes | What stays | What you give it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Face swap | Only the face | Body, clothes, hair, background, motion | A face photo and a video |
| Character swap | The subject becomes another character, often stylized or animated | Motion and timing; the scene may be restyled | A character image and a video |
| Full-person replacementThis page | Face, hair, skin tone, build and outfit | Moves, camera path, background and sound | One photo per person and a clip (yours or a trend) |
If you only want a new face on the same body and clothes, a face-swap app is the lighter tool. If you want to look like yourself from head to toe inside someone else's clip, you need full-person replacement.

Upload any clip you have the right to use, or pick a recognizable trend with its own song and performers. Your photos take the performers' places; the set, timing and sound stay. Click a trend's name for its full guide.

How to Replace a Person in a Video with a Photo
1. Pick a clip or upload a video
Choose a built-in clip, or upload your own MP4 or MOV and drag the window to the part you want (5 to 15 seconds, up to 30 on Seedance 2.5).
2. Upload your photos
Add one photo per person from your camera roll. A built-in clip already knows who Image 1 and Image 2 replace; on your own video, write one short line such as "replace the dancer on the left with @Image 1".
3. Choose length, model and resolution
The credit quote updates as you change the settings. A short run on the cheapest model the clip offers is the low-cost way to test a new photo.
4. Generate and download
A video usually takes a few minutes. You can close the page; it keeps running and shows up in your recent videos as an MP4 with the song.
Photo checklist
- One person per photo, nobody else in frame
- Face clearly visible and facing the camera
- Waist-up or full-body, so the outfit comes through
- Even daylight; no heavy filters, masks or sunglasses
- A real camera photo, not a screenshot or a compressed chat image
- Only adults who have agreed to appear
One Photo or Several: Yourself, Friends or a Couple
Pick by who is going in. Built-in clips have fixed roles; on your own video you say who each photo replaces.
Just you
Bulin 47 takes a single photo: you become the rapper and everything else in the street scene stays.
You and a friend
Hotel Lobby, APT., Alors on Danse and Smalltown Boy each split the clip between two performers, so each of you gets a part.
A couple
Raindance is a love-song duet on a seaside pier, and Rumpelstiltskin turns one of you into the dancer and the other into the stunned audience.
A whole group
Upload your own video, add a photo for each person (up to nine images) and name who each one replaces in your instruction, e.g. "@Image 1 replaces the man in black, @Image 2 the drummer".
On a built-in clip each photo always goes to the same role, so check which part is Image 1. On your own video, the instruction decides who replaces whom.
Free Credits, Watermark and Price
Every video here runs on a paid video model, so it costs credits. Here is what each option actually gets you.

- Credits are charged when a job starts and come back automatically if it fails or the provider rejects a photo.
- Any paid order removes the watermark from new videos and unlocks the clean original of videos you already made.
- No subscription is required: the trial and one-time packs work on every clip.
Phone, Low-End Laptop or Local GPU: What You Need
The video model runs on our servers, so the device you use only has to upload photos and play an MP4.
| Your setup | Works here? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone or Android, browser only | Yes | Upload from the camera roll, download the MP4 and post it. Nothing to install. |
| Old laptop or Chromebook | Yes | No graphics card needed; any current browser is enough. |
| Windows PC with a GPU (e.g. RTX 3060) | Yes, but the GPU isn't used | To run everything on your own machine instead, the usual open-source route is ComfyUI with Wan 2.2 Animate's replace mode. It needs a setup, a lot of video memory and your own clip. |
| Your own clip from your phone | Yes | Upload an MP4 or MOV of 5 seconds to 5 minutes (up to 50 MB) and pick a part of 5 to 15 seconds (up to 30 on Seedance 2.5). Its own sound is laid back under the result. |
Fixing Weird Hands, Teeth, Eyes and Face Drift
Most odd results trace back to the photo. Change one thing at a time and test with a short, cheap run.
- The face changes from frame to frame
- Use a sharp, front-facing photo in even light. Seedance 2.5 holds a likeness best.
- Expressions don't match the moves
- Pick a photo with a relaxed, neutral face. A big grin tends to stay frozen through the whole clip.
- Hands, teeth or eyes look wrong
- These break most in fast moves. Regenerate, try another model, or choose a photo with no sunglasses or hands over the face.
- The result looks soft
- Choose 1080p where the clip offers it, and start from an original camera photo rather than a screenshot.
- The two people ended up in the wrong parts
- Press the swap button before generating; Photo 1 and Photo 2 always map to the same roles.
- The job was rejected
- On most clips Seedance 2.5 reviews photos first and refuses some, often celebrities. The credits come back; try your own photo or another model.
Consent, Celebrities and What You Can Post
Only people who said yes
Use photos of yourself or of adults who agreed to be in the video. Never make sexual, hateful or deceptive content with anyone's face.
Celebrities
Putting a famous face into a clip can break platform rules and personality rights, and providers often refuse it. Keep it to yourself and your friends, and never use it in an ad without permission.
Label it as AI
TikTok, Instagram and YouTube ask creators to label realistic AI edits. Don't pass a remake off as real footage.
The clips and songs aren't ours
Upload only videos you made or have the right to use. Each trend's song and original performance belong to their owners; raindancemaker.com is an independent tool, not affiliated with the artists or the creators of the original clips.
Your photos
Photos and uploaded videos are stored under your account with random, unlisted keys and reach the video provider only through short-lived links. Finished videos show up only in your account.
Replace Person in Video with Photo: FAQ
Can I replace a person in a video from my phone, with no computer and no paid app?
Yes. This page works in Safari or Chrome on a phone: pick a clip, upload photos from your camera roll and download the MP4. There is nothing to install. The video model itself is paid, so each video costs credits.
I only have a free account and a cheap laptop. Can I make these for TikTok without a watermark?
A free account works on any laptop, since nothing runs on your machine. New accounts may get 5 signup credits, enough for one short Seedance 2.0 Mini test. Free-account videos carry a moving raindancemaker.com watermark; any paid order, including the $5 trial pack, removes it and unlocks the clean originals.
Can my friends or my partner and I all be replaced in the same clip?
Yes. On your own video add a photo for each person, up to nine images, and say in your instruction who each one replaces. The built-in duo clips take two photos, one per performer, and Bulin 47 takes one.
I have my own 10-second dance video and a selfie. Can I replace the dancer here?
Yes. Upload the MP4 or MOV (5 seconds to 5 minutes, up to 50 MB), drag the window to the part you want, add your selfie as Image 1 and write one line such as "replace the dancer with @Image 1". The moves, the camera and the original sound stay. The window is the length of the result: 5 to 15 seconds, or up to 30 on Seedance 2.5.
Is "replace person in video" tied to a specific TikTok meme or song?
Not one, but the format took off through song clips with a fixed set: Quavo and Takeoff's "HOTEL LOBBY", Dave and Tems's "Raindance", ROSÉ and Bruno Mars's "APT.", Bronski Beat's "Smalltown Boy", Stromae's "Alors on danse", the Rumpelstiltskin tiptoe meme and Bulin 47's freestyle. The table above lists who your photos replace in each.
Why do replaced people sometimes have strange hands, teeth, eyes or lip movement?
The model redraws every frame, and small details are the hardest to keep steady during fast motion. A sharp, front-facing photo without sunglasses helps most; a regeneration or a different model often fixes the rest.
Is there a pay-as-you-go option instead of a monthly subscription?
Yes. The $5 trial pack and the one-time packs never renew and work on every clip. A monthly plan is only cheaper per credit.
Can I replace a celebrity in a video and post it just for fun?
Use your own photo or photos of friends who agreed instead. Celebrity faces can break platform rules and personality rights even in a joke, and the video provider may refuse them. Whatever you post, label it as AI.
